Find all our range here on the farm during our PYO Christmas tree season

We are so excited to be opening here on the farm again for our pick-your-own Christmas tree season! During our open season you'll find all our range of fruit liqueurs and cold-pressed rapeseed oils for sale in our little festive cabin right by the tree netters in our farmyard. Complimentary tasters are available for most of our range, so do ask to try before you buy.

Our liqueurs and oils make brilliant Christmas gifts, secret Santa items, stocking fillers or simply treats for your own Christmas tables. They are ideal for that person who has everything and you don't quite know what to buy them - something made with love locally is always a good idea!

We open on Sunday 23rd November for 5 open weekends before Christmas Day - Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 9am-4pm. There is no need to pre-book a ticket, just come along. You'll find all our open dates and information on our Christmas trees website .

Whilst visiting you'll find Good Times Cafe, Chouxly Scrumptious and Really Awesome Coffee in our farmyard with hot drinks and festive bakes galore which you can enjoy whilst you're with us. Do enjoy a walk around our plantations to choose your own Christmas tree which we'll cut down for you, if you would like to.

Make memories & keep traditions by visiting the farm for your tree this season

November means only one thing here on the farm - it's the start of Christmas tree season!

This year we open on Sunday 24th November every weekend (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) before Christmas for you to walk around our plantations, choose your own tree and we'll cut it down for you. Check our website page for all our opening dates, we're open 9am-4pm each day, no tickets needed.

You really can't beat the tradition of coming to the farm and carrying your tree home for Christmas. It's a really fun outing to add to your calendar during the festivities - bring family, bring friends, bring the dog (on a lead of course) and take lots of photos in our outdoor selfie frames and around our plantations to remember your visit. Pop on your wellies and enjoy some fresh air on the farm. There are Norway Spruce and Nordmann Fir trees to choose from, ranging from tiny 3-ft to whopping 13-ft trees! There's a small selection of potted trees too. We also sell water-holding tree stands, door wreaths by Ellie's Flowers , holly & mistletoe, all of our Fruity Farmer liqueurs plus logs & kindling.

There's refreshments in the farmyard with Good Times Cafe , Really Awesome Coffee and Chouxly Scrumptious joining us throughout the season. Boozy Hot Chocolate made with our Fruity Farmer homemade Seville Orange Rum anyone? Oh, go on then! (Again, see our website for which dates each vendor is attending on).

Everyone appreciates a thoughtful gift made with love locally and we have plenty of gifting ideas here on our website. At the moment as we hurtle towards the end of the school year, there's a couple of different ideas for teachers' pressies. A small gift bag option is £14.50, featuring Limoncello Vodka Liqueur along with a Lemon May Chang Pie soap made using our rapeseed oil...or alternatively a large gift bag is £25 and includes Raspberry Vodka Liqueur, Seville Orange Gin Liqueur and a Classic Cold-pressed Rapeseed Oil.

You'll also find Summer gift bag ideas including fruit infused liqueurs and our cold-pressed infused rapeseed oils. Of course, you can mix and match to make up a gift bag with whichever one of our range takes your fancy! We can even put together a hamper-style present (as shown in the photo) to feature however many products you would like to include - just let us know the occasion and budget and we can create something for you.

New non-alcholic drink scoops top award

We're over the moon that our NEW non-alcoholic Rhubarb Spirit Drink has scooped the Artisan Best Drink Award in the 2023 Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards - amazing news!

To have our product judged by award-winning chefs at Paris House and emerge as the winner from so many local entries is amazing. After winning this category with our Rhubarb Rum in last year's Awards, this is fabulous endorsement this year for our first non-alcoholic drink and the judges' comments reflect this.

The judges described it as: "Cool, refreshing flavour that would make a tasty Summer drink. A good alternative to elderflower presse, but also versatile enough to be used in cocktails and desserts. Excellent local credentials. Good to find a non-alcoholic drink that stands up against alcoholic competition - overall winner Best Drink."

The alcohol free market is currently a hugely growing sector. Mintel currently estimates that the low and no-alcohol market will increase by another 11.2% this year alone.

We were also absolutely delighted that our Limoncello Vodka Liqueur was a top three finalist in the drinks category. Described by the judges as having: "A very pleasant flavour and a good example of Limoncello."

Spring has sprung!

Blossom and (slightly) bluer skies

Finally after what felt like possibly one of the longest Winters for some time, Spring is springing! Although the April showers are continuing long into May, there are bursts of bluer skies and occasional warmer temperatures which makes us think we're getting there!

The rain has prompted so much growth on the farm hedgerows and in the garden. There was plenty of blackthorn blossom, so fingers crossed for a good sloe picking season this Autumn. The rhubarb giants are taking over from us again in the garden and we have been picking galore to make our Rhubarb Gin and Rhubarb Rum, and also filling the freezer with plenty for future use.

Writing in mid-May, our strawberry plants are just starting to flower (Strawberry Gin season is just around the corner you know) and we can spy tiny gooseberries on our rows of gooseberry bushes for our Gooseberry Gin.

Some of our arable fields have turned golden with the oilseed rape on full flower. You're probably noticing far fewer fields of yellow than in previous years because disease control and insect damage is tricky to keep on top of now in oilseed rape - but fear not, we have plenty here to harvest and then crush to make our range of rapeseed oils.

Rhubarb Rum proves a winner in local awards

We are over the moon to announce that our Rhubarb Rum recently won the Best Local Produce - Drink award section of the Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards 2022!

We know how popular our Rhubarb Rum is with customers so we decided to enter it into this year's MK Food & Leisure Awards. A panel of industry judges tasted a selection of fabulous local food and drink at Paris House before the results were announced at a glittering awards dinner at Hotel La Tour in Milton Keynes.

We use rhubarb growing in our garden to infuse in a white rum and leave it to mature for around 3 months before bottling. A lovely liqueur to enjoy on its own.

In 2018 we won the same award category for our Seville Orange Gin, so we are super proud to now have two awards proudly on display.

Pick your own Christmas tree straight from the field

Did you know that we also have a Christmas tree business here on the farm?

You can walk around our extensive tree plantations, choose your own tree and we'll cut it down for you. It's so much fun! Bring your wellies...and your family...and your friends...and start a tradition this season by coming to the farm for your tree. You really can't quite beat carrying your own tree home for Christmas.

We open on Saturday 19th November for 5 open weekends before Christmas Day, Saturdays & Sundays, 9am-4pm, with a couple of Friday openings too. Visit our website at www.stokegoldingtonchristmastrees.co.uk for full open dates. There's no need to pre-book tickets, just come along. Free entry and plenty of free parking. We also sell tree stands, holly & mistletoe, door wreaths, logs & kindling too. You'll be able to keep warm with refreshments in our farmyard from Really Awesome Coffee every Saturday and Good Times Cafe every Sunday.

You'll be pleased to know we sell all our range of Fruity Farmer fruit gins, liqueurs and cold-pressed rapeseed oils alongside the trees too. So it's a great chance to stock up on little Christmas gifts, Secret Santa pressies, stocking fillers and all your own treats for the festive season. Everything is made here on the farm too.

Autumn on the Farm

A season full of Autumn bounty

Autumn has brought with it a bounty of fruit on our farm hedgerows and in the garden. The blackberries are plump and huge this year so it hasn't taken long to pick around 20 kilos for our Blackberry Whisky and Apple & Blackberry Gin. The sloes are also bigger in size than last year which makes the picking easier! We know every blackthorn bush to look for on the farm for our sloes and this season there was one spinney which yielded such a lot that we didn't need to stray too far away from it.

Our apples trees in the garden are almost bent double with apples. And everywhere you look people seem to have boxes of apples on their front garden wall for passers-by to help themselves to. Every season is certainly different and this is a season of plenty!

We were lucky enough to have a lovely local customer offer us her quince tree for a wonderful quince picking. Its branches were absolutely groaning with quince! Our Quince Gin is a popular one and some seasons it's difficult to find enough fruit, so we're lucky this year.

Oh July! A month of bounty from the garden

July is one of our busiest months picking and making the most of bounteous amounts of fruit from our garden to make our fruit gins & liqueurs. Strawberries need picking every day from our strawberry bed for Strawberry Gin, the gooseberries are turning colour for Gooseberry Gin and the raspberries are starting to fruit for our Raspberry Vodka. We're also still picking rhubarb for our Rhubarb Gin and Rhubarb Rum. Luckily, we're able to source beautifully fresh in season apricots grown locally from Harvest of Olney greengrocers to make our Apricot Vodka.

We get all our cherries from the amazing Horwood Cherries at Great Horwood and use the Kordia variety of sweet cherries to make our Cherry Brandy. You can book to pick-your-own cherries from Horwood Cherries' orchards and we would highly recommend it - great fun and simply the best cherries for miles!

Spring starts to show its face

After a January spent catching up from an incredibly busy Xmas tree season here on the Farm....followed by a February of strong winds which caused a wee bit of havoc...Spring is showing its face here on the Farm. The grass is (slowly) growing, soon the soil temperatures will start to warm up, the Xmas trees have had their first dose of Spring fertiliser to perk them up, wheat and beans planted in Autumn are showing tiny spurts of growth. It's good to see! Soon our children, now 'old teenagers' will be getting their annual batch of cade (orphan) lambs to rear through until Autumn. It doesn't seem to matter how old they get, George & Ruby still love their lambs!

Here in the Fruity Farmer garden, the rhubarb is growing (almost) in front of our eyes. The gooseberry bushes are just starting to come onto flower and our apple trees are showing tiny buds. As we know, Spring takes its time here in the UK but you can start to feel it in the air now.

Some of our February farmers markets were sadly cancelled due to the gales, but this month we're out & about and it's great to see you all again. Our fruit gins & liqueurs are always popular for gifts, whether it's Mother's Day or someone's birthday or anniversary, but sometimes you just want to treat yourself too hey? Restock the drinks trolley and enjoy a drink one evening or weekend. It's just as lovely when customers say they're going to treat themselves as it is when they're looking for a special gift for someone.

At the moment the warming flavours of Apple & Blackberry Gin, Blackberry Whisky and Sloe Gin are still popular, but we're seeing a swing towards those more Summery flavours of Strawberry Gin, Gooseberry Gin and Rhubarb Gin. And our Limoncello seems popular all year round now. It used to be very much a Summer's drink, but its popularity as a velvety smooth liqueur enjoyed on its own stretches throughout the year now.

We're so happy that our tasting events are back now too. It's good to be doing these face-to-face again! Our event at Locanda Gabriella restaurant in Olney was a really lovely evening with an opportunity for us to introduce guests to 9 of our range of drinks whilst they enjoyed a beautiful 3-course meal. These are intimate, fun, chatty evenings and we love them! Let us know if you would like us to do a tasting for your venue or local group.

Eeeek! We’re very excited...

...with the newest addition to our range

Rhubarb Rum is the most recent addition to our range, launched in November 2021. This is a white rum infused with rhubarb grown in our garden and left to mature for around 3 months. We should tell you…it slips down rather nicely! Best enjoyed on its own as a liqueur, or with a mixer of your choice.

We were jolly proud...

...to see two of our range sitting amongst this array of fabulous local products from some amazing small businesses

We entered our Limoncello and our Chilli-Infused Rapeseed Oil into last year’s @mkfoodawards. Great to hear from the panel of judges at Paris House in Woburn that they liked the local credentials of our Oil…and thought the Limoncello would be good as an ingredient in a dessert, as well as to enjoy chilled as a drink.

Many, many congratulations to all the category winners.

There is always lots to learn and take away from these annual Awards and we’ll look forward to entering again next year.
